DEMO DAY 2009 SUNDAY JULY 5TH, BIGGER, BETTER, AWESOME
Demo rides are free, if you are riding a demo bike then
BRMBA will take you to the top on a shuttle truck (note this is NOT a shuttle
day, shuttles are a thanks to the manufactures for donations to the annual
raffle).
You are asked to limit the ride on each bike to one run so
that the next person has an opportunity to try out the bike also. Please don’t
session during your run as again we would like to make sure everyone gets an
opportunity to ride the demo. After each run you will need to check in the bike
and then it’s up to the manufacture if they can let you go for another run.
Demo’s are checked out by each manufacture and you will need to sign a waiver
for each manufacture. You will also need to sign a BRMBA waiver before getting
on the shuttle so check in at the BRMBA tent to get your wrist band.
What to bring:
- ID and credit card for security on the demo bike.
- Cash for BBQ lunches by Trace at the Black Rock Café’
(lunches are $10 and maybe be somewhat limited if we have a HUGE crowd so be
prepared).
- Cash if you wish to donate a few bucks to help cover
the BRMBA shuttle trucks (suggested $5, fundraiser was light this year so
every dollar helps!).
- HELMET is mandatory – pads are recommended
- Another rider, great chance for someone new to see
what the trails are about and what kind of bike might work for them.
- Big smiles and lots of THANKS to pass out to all the
trail builders you see; the guys and gals have been putting lots of time in
this year to add features and make the trails better. Better yet how about
a big YES to write down on the list for next build season volunteers!
What NOT to bring:
- Dogs: with the volume of people we expect this is one
day we ask that you leave your favorite best friend home, for there safety!
Parking:
This is the tricky part! We will be having everyone drive
up and parking along the road above the orange gate and on the road that runs
behind where we do shuttle pickups.
Here’s the key… PLEASE drive SLOWLY through the camp. There will be a parking
guide at the camp gate by the normal parking area with instructions, please
follow them to the “T” so that we can make this as least interruptive as
possible to the camp and it’s visitors. For safety reasons and emergency access
be sure to NOT BLOCK any part of the road when you park.
