February first will be the second race of a grassroots mini downhill series sponsored by the Downhill Coalition, Midtown P&T and Life Cycle Bike Shop. The series continues on an all new course out at Jim Gillette's. Tomorrow I will be surveying the swath of fresh cut trail and deciding what to to with blank slate Jim has so graciously granted us. My hope is to provide a sustainable training run for local riders with an emphasis on skill building and fun. Come lend a hand this weekend to help ensure more smiles on the faces of racers in our area. Bring a tool of choice and something to eat. PM me for info and leave your name and number.

Thanks,
Colin

i would hate to come to a race and feel like i dont have a fighting chance on the hardtail. but i got the demo running so its all gravy, no excuses.

are you gonna be having any practice days before the race, and do you need any help finishing off the course?

I would like to know more about the DH Race this Sunday, I am new to the sport and would at least like to come out and watch. Can anyone give times and location. I am a old firend of Jim G. back in the day when we used to ride Trials together, a great guy. I may be the oldest guy currently on your web site. I'm 61 and riding a Foes Weasel (1999) Its a great bike and have been doing some riding with my son in Central Oregon, hope to expand on that in weeks to come.

Thanks

the new DH course is riding in nicely and the help I've received has been huge. Thanks to everyone who showed up and threw down.

I'm working tomorrow with the landlord in designing a new run with a different set of challenges. This one starts atop the same hill as the new course but will feed into the Dual Slalom track and will end with a fast and rocky double track descent to the same spot the other courses finish at.
I might need some help digging on sunday so call me and let me know if you want to help. Thanks.
